Christopher Arnold first started cutting hair in 1993 in Hockessin, Delaware. He quickly found that what started as a job, grew into a passion. He knew instantly that barbering would be his life. For the next 6 years he honed his skills and observed the industry. In 1999, he opened his first U.S. Male Modern Barbershop on Main Street in Newark, serving a wide range of clients from students to business professionals. Christopher understood early that the most important ingredient for success is a strong team, offering consistency and a high level of satisfaction for their clients. With this formula for success in hand, he began expanding his business. In 2004, U.S. Male Modern Barbershop added a shop in Bear, followed by additional shops in Middletown in 2006, Smyrna in 2008, and a second shop in Newark in 2009. In 2012, Christopher was able to return to his hair cutting roots and proudly opened his latest shop in Hockessin. Today, U.S. Male Modern Barbershop continues looking for opportunities to attract the most talented barbers in Delaware and allow them to grow with the company. They offer their employees benefits, including a Simple IRA plan, company health coverage, and dental insurance. Christopher is always looking for new locations and new talented employees to better serve the Delaware community.
